Description
St. Elizabeth Home, an Illuminus Community, is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) position. We offer long‑term care and short‑term rehabilitation in a 43‑bed skilled nursing setting located just blocks from downtown Janesville in the Courthouse Hill Historic District.

- $83,000–$105,000 per year, based on experience

- Maintain and actively promote effective communication with all individuals.

- Provide on‑call services as assigned.
- Coordinate and delegate resident care to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and administrative policies.
- Ensure quality of care by adhering to best practices in infection prevention and control.
- Perform routine checks of residents who are ill or have problems, noting changes in condition and assisting staff in responding to these changes.
- Support, develop, and supervise certified nursing assistants and medication administration assistant personnel.
- Assess resident care needs and assist in developing individual care plans as needed.
- Participate in committee meetings and interdepartmental meetings aligned with Quality Assurance Process Improvement Standards.
- Ensure the center adheres to Medicare coverage requirements such as certification, assessment, and advance beneficiary notice.
- Oversee the Medicare meeting and provide direction to support process improvement.
- Oversee and assure accuracy/quality of the MDS/RAI process, including scheduling, completion, and content.
- Review 24‑hour reports, physician orders, stand‑up meeting minutes daily, and monitor for any resident MDS/insurance coverage issues.
- Manage all requirements to authorize coverage and continued stay from HMO, insurance, and LTC policies.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with therapy to determine assessment reference dates, insurance coverage criteria, and patient rehabilitative care plans.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wisconsin.
- Knowledge and/or experience in geriatrics.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with Minimum Data Set (MDS) preferred or willingness to train.
- Ability to navigate and effectively utilize an Electronic Medical Record program.
- Knowledge and/or experience with state and federal regulations.
