Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN with current WI or compact license and required certifications for night shift coverage.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shifts with mid-shift schedules from 09:00-21:30 and 10:30-23:00
- Assignment may include coverage at a second Emergency Department location within Janesville
- 13-week contract assignment
- Provide emergency nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved standards of care and state law
- Document care according to professional standards
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians
- Participate in performance improvement and shared governance activities within the department
- May be required to utilize clinical expertise to support other departments
- Critical thinking and escalation per patient safety and experience are expected
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) certification required
- Proof of flu vaccination required
- Experience in emergency room nursing required
