American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Nights position requiring WI or compact license and NIHSS certification.
Details- Medical unit within a hospital and trauma center setting
- Adult medical-surgical patient population
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:30P-7A)
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Floating to other units may be required
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Education verification required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in utilizing the nursing process to care for patients
- Administer medications and treatments per approved nursing standards and policies
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans in coordination with physicians, including patient and family education
- Participate in unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
- Provide clinical expertise to support patients' longitudinal plans of care across units
- Apply critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the proper chain of command
- Holiday coverage required
