SEINE CLIENT is seeking a Nuclear Quality Assurance Manager who will be responsible for administering and executing the SEINE CLIENT ANSI/ANS-15.8 Quality Assurance Program. This position will include the administration and execution of the quality surveillance processes, and the oversight of engineering, testing, and other activities affecting quality. In addition to overseeing internal SEINE CLIENT activities, the Nuclear Quality Assurance Manager will support vendor audits and oversight activities.

The Nuclear Quality Assurance Manager will work as part of an innovative, collaborative, cross-discipline team to ensure the adequacy of activities affecting quality in SEINE CLIENT’s commercial and research and development activities, including the SEINE CLIENT medical isotope production facility.

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of dynamic nuclear quality assurance professionals in the performance of quality affecting activities supporting SEINE CLIENT’s commercial and research and development activities.
  • Ensure processes, including procedures, needed to execute the SEINE CLIENT Quality Assurance Program are identified, established, implemented, and maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable (e.g., NRC, ASME, vendor, and project-specific) quality requirements.
  • Lead resolution of key strategic nuclear quality issues.
  • Provide oversight of internal and external (i.e., vendor) quality assessments and surveillances.
  • Maintain the approved supplier list.
  • Facilitate appropriate internal and vendor training related to quality requirements.
  • Obtain/maintain lead auditor status.
  • Work closely with the Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Licensing, and Operations Teams to ensure activities affecting quality are identified and adequately implemented.
  • Participate in industry-led and regulator-led activities related to nuclear quality assurance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, scientific discipline, or related field, or equivalent experience such as a Senior Reactor Operator License or the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
  • A minimum of 7 years of nuclear quality experience.
  • Working knowledge of the ANSI/ANS-15.8 and/or ASME NQA-1 quality standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to vendor facilities (both domestic and international).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization, as well as interface with regulators, contractors, and suppliers.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
  • Requires frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, grasping, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knees.
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
  • Fine motor coordination and strong depth perception is beneficial.
  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
