CDL A Driver

Sheehy Express is hiring dependable CDL A drivers for local freight work. You’ll be home daily, paid weekly, and supported by a dispatch team that knows drivers are the reason the freight moves.

We are a family-owned company, and we try to run our operation the way drivers want it run: clear communication, maintained equipment, steady work, and respect for your time.

What this job offers

This is a local CDL A position with daily home time. Drivers are paid weekly based on whichever amount is greater for the week:

$28 per hour or $0.65 per mile

You’ll also get clean, well-maintained equipment, consistent local routes, and a driver-supportive team that values safety, reliability, and professionalism.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll operate a CDL A vehicle on local routes, make timely freight deliveries, complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, follow DOT and company safety procedures, use ELD systems properly, and represent Sheehy Express professionally with customers and the team.

What we’re looking for

Qualified applicants should have a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, a current Fed Med card, experience using ELD systems, and at least 2 years or 200,000 miles of driving experience.

Most importantly, we’re looking for drivers who are dependable, safety-minded, professional, and looking for a local driving job where they can be treated with respect.

Why drivers work with Sheehy Express

At Sheehy Express, you are not just filling a seat. You are part of a local driving team that helps keep freight moving every day. We believe drivers deserve honest communication, safe equipment, steady work, and a company that follows through on what it says.
