Job Summary:
The Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in executing operational, sales and merchandising objectives by delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The Team Leader promotes a safe and productive work environment for all team members, customers, and vendors, and trains team members on the application of policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Work scheduled shifts, showing ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: greet customers, uncover needs, recommend solutions, and add value.
- Perform assigned merchandising activities, opening/closing procedures, bank deposits, store condition assessment, workflow organization, recovery of merchandise, freight process participation, price changes.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure a legendary shopping experience.
- Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarms.
- Communicate job functions, responsibilities, and financial goals to team members.
- Operate cash register/computer supervising cash handling procedures.
- Assist team members in applying policies and procedures.
- Ensure safety when handling merchandise and operating equipment such as forklift, baler, and other store equipment.
- Maintain documentation related to job duties.
- Obtain required licenses or certifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically.
- Ability to perform core responsibilities of Team Members.
- Move and transfer merchandise up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 2,000 lbs with equipment.
- Operate equipment such as dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register.
- Stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
- Travel as required.
- Drive or operate vehicle for business needs.
- Complete trainings and certifications.
