Job Summary:

The Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in executing operational, sales and merchandising objectives by delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The Team Leader promotes a safe and productive work environment for all team members, customers, and vendors, and trains team members on the application of policies and procedures.

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts, showing ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: greet customers, uncover needs, recommend solutions, and add value.
• Perform assigned merchandising activities, opening/closing procedures, bank deposits, store condition assessment, workflow organization, recovery of merchandise, freight process participation, price changes.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure a legendary shopping experience.
• Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarms.
• Communicate job functions, responsibilities, and financial goals to team members.
• Operate cash register/computer supervising cash handling procedures.
• Assist team members in applying policies and procedures.
• Ensure safety when handling merchandise and operating equipment such as forklift, baler, and other store equipment.
• Maintain documentation related to job duties.
• Obtain required licenses or certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically.
• Ability to perform core responsibilities of Team Members.

• Move and transfer merchandise up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 2,000 lbs with equipment.
• Operate equipment such as dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register.
• Stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
• Travel as required.
• Drive or operate vehicle for business needs.
• Complete trainings and certifications.
