Locum Anesthesiology physician position in Jasper, IN. Pay is $325/hour to $340/hour. This is a locum tenens assignment.

Schedule and coverage:
Shift coverage with on-call required. Standard schedule: 07:00 – 15:00, 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anesthesia care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement optimal patient care plans.
• Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia based on patient and procedure needs.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels to maintain patient safety and stability.
• Respond to emergencies and critical situations during surgery.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Stay current on advancements in anesthesiology through continuing education.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• ACGME or AOA-accredited anesthesiology residency.
• Board certification in anesthesiology by the ABA or AOA.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Indiana.
• Typically at least one year of clinical anesthesia experience is preferred.

License & Certifications

• Board certification in anesthesiology (ABA or AOA).
• Active Indiana medical license.

Experience

• Prior locum or clinical anesthesia experience is preferred; exact requirements may vary by assignment.
