Join Summit Home Care & Hospice as a Physical Therapist Assistant. This part‑time role (approx 20 hours per week) is based in Jasper, IN and covers surrounding areas including Huntingburg, IN.

• Work directly with patients on therapeutic exercises designed to regain full mobility, strengthen muscles, and improve coordination.
• Administer various physical modalities, such as soft tissue massage, electrical muscle stimulation, and ultrasounds, to relieve pain, improve circulation, and reduce swelling.
• Collaborate with team personnel to achieve well‑rounded care.
• Develop and implement physical therapy programs focused on rehabilitation.
• Evaluate effects of therapy treatment and communicate patients' progress.
• Observe and reassess patients’ progress to modify the plan of care as needed.
• Share necessary information with the PT when adjustments are required.
• Ensure patients receive personalized care.
• Provide training for using assistive devices such as crutches, canes, or prosthetics.
• Record and document patient care services and progress.
• Keep the PT up to date on patients’ progress and identify which aspects of treatment are effective.

• Associate Degree in Science or Applied Science from an accredited institution.
• Active PTA License in the state of Indiana.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.
• Current CPR certification.
• Recent TB test.
• Willingness to travel to patients’ homes.
• Preferred prior experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or related fields.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to build rapport with in‑home patients, PTs, and Assisted Living Facility (ALF)/Independent Living Facility (ILF) staff.
• Capability to work in a fast‑paced, flexible environment.
• Ability to handle the physical workload with kindness, compassion, and empathy.
