Supply Chain Coordinators assigned to warehouse locations are responsible for the coordination of activities for the storeroom sections of the Material Management Department. Position is responsible for maintaining operational continuity of the Material Handling Section, while ensuring that the maximum level of support is provided to the Hospital at the least practical cost. Supply Chain Coordinators assigned to procedural areas of a hospital are responsible for both the owned and consigned inventory for those departments.
Responsibilities- Ensure operational continuity by cross‑training individuals in other jobs and temporary redistribution of workloads.
- Provide cost analysis studies for budgetary requirements and support Material Management recommendations.
- Coordinate the activities and personnel of the Material Handling Section of Material Management.
- Oversee the receiving of supplies into the warehouse, ensure how supplies are organized for delivery by the floor captains, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Work with floor captains, Deaconess departments, and the Purchasing department to resolve supply chain issues and inventory backorder issues.
- Monitor section training for standards required by ACHC and maintain the Departmental Safety Plan.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
