The ideal candidate will be located near Jasper, IN.

The Finish Color Specialist is responsible for developing & ensuring finish colors meet specifications.

• Produce master & working color panels to correspond to customer request or sample.
• Assist and advise KH project Managers while they are working with customers to determine best finish options for customer projects (e.g., species, cut, match, sheen, etc.).
• Owns the retain system. Reviews and updates retains (wet standards) as needed to match color panels.
• Investigate root cause of finish color issues and work with production personnel and/or supplier to resolve across full supply chain.
• Develop customer special finish per customer request; maintain color panels, formulas & materials to produce special finish once matched.
• Verify finish material suppliers’ pour down, spray out & tinting of incoming materials that are not to specification to ensure color consistency. Work with supplier sales tech to make necessary changes and adjustments.
• Maintain and update all finish write up as colors are approved.
• Catalogue and maintain information as required in Materials database.
• Develop or specify finish touch up materials.
• Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized.
• Perform proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment being used.
• Follow all safety guidelines and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International.
