• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently; understand the Point of Sale system, and handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
• Rotate all merchandise according to code dating policies and check product quality for freshness; review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
• Promote trust and respect among team members.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions regarding products sold.
• Maintain knowledge of products sold; respond to questions and make suggestions.
• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Order, label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering, shipping, and pricing to management.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, Fireworks).
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures and logs.
• Reinforce safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Notify management of accidents.
• Follow all laws and company policies.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting, pushing, bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and repetitive motions.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity and follow directions to resolve issues.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Basic math knowledge.
• Complete cashier training program.
• Memorize produce and sale items.
• Effective communication and reading skills.
• Must be 18 years old.
