Position Summary
General Facilities Maintenance Technician – supporting safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, and fixtures.
What you’ll do- Execute routine maintenance and repair tasks using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment skills.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in variable temperatures
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and support Stores and Store associates.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 – $35.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Minimum Qualifications- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program.
- License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
- Intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
