Our Client in Jeddah is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Saudi Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Provide support during external audits and examinations.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience with financial analysis and reporting tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and experience with tax preparation is desirable.
