Job Description

Employees in this level provide operational support in maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, reviewing supporting documentation, and ensuring that all transactions are properly documented and authorized. They assist in implementing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain data integrity.

Additionally, this level supports month-end and year-end closing activities, prepares routine financial reports, coordinates with other departments to collect required financial information, and helps ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational guidelines. The role requires attention to detail, basic knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to follow established processes and timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Follows all relevant financial/accounting procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Follows the day-to-day operations related to own jobs to ensure continuity of work.
  • Provides assistance in the processing of ledger and booking entries according to approved procedures so that all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Carries out filing of all financial documents and information in a way that allows ease of retrieval of information and reports.
  • Processes all transactions according to defined legislation and guidelines so that the company fulfils all accounting policy objectives and obligations.
  • Provides assistance in the collection of data needed for basic accounting exercises and projects within set terms of reference and defined processes and assist senior colleagues in the preparation of standard internal and external financial reports.

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Accounting or Finance
  • 0-3 years of experience
