About the Role

We are seeking a qualified General Accountant to support the Finance Department by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and posting accounting entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and assisting with tax and zakat reporting. The role will contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of the company's financial operations and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and review payment, receipt, and journal vouchers prior to approval.
  • Ensure supporting documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Value Added Tax (VAT) returns.
  • Calculate withholding tax on payments made to non-resident suppliers and prepare related tax filings.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure balances match accounting records.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable and perform periodic reconciliations with customers and suppliers.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and process periodic depreciation entries.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal control standards.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and journal entry preparation.
  • Good understanding of VAT, Zakat, Withholding Tax, and ZATCA regulations.
  • Experience using ERP accounting systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and financial formulas.
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliations and receivable/payable account reconciliations.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in general accounting.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Previous experience working with ERP systems.
