The Payroll Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Jiddah. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, including preparing and processing payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy of salary calculations, deductions, and benefits. The Payroll Officer will handle payroll taxes and statutory contributions, maintain payroll records, and reconcile payroll data with finance systems. Daily tasks include responding to employee payroll inquiries, coordinating with HR and Finance to ensure timely updates to employee data, and supporting audits and compliance with local labor and tax regulations.

The role also involves generating regular payroll reports and contributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Bachelors  Degree in Accounting or any related field.

MUST BE SAUDI

• Review payroll registers for workforce employees before final approval.
• Review the calculation of allowances, deductions, overtime, leave entitlements, and end-of-service benefits.
• Ensure payroll calculations comply with employment contracts and applicable labor regulations.
• Review bank transfer files before submission for approval.
• Follow up on payroll discrepancies or errors and implement the necessary corrective actions.
• Review and approve payroll-related financial provisions
  , including annual leave provisions, end-of-service benefit provisions, bonuses, and incentives, ensuring they are calculated in accordance with approved accounting policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly payroll accrual journal entries and ensure accurate posting to the accounting system.
• Reconcile payroll and payroll provision accounts with the General Ledger (GL), verify balances, and perform required adjustments and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports related to payroll costs, employee benefits, and monthly payroll variances, and submit them to management.
• Coordinate with the Finance Department and external auditors regarding payroll accounts and provide supporting documentation when required.
• Ensure the proper accounting treatment of all payroll-related transactions in accordance with approved accounting policies.
• Supervise the monthly and annual financial closing process related to payroll and payroll provisions.
• Demonstrate practical experience using Payroll Systems to manage payroll operations electronically.
• Generate payroll reports, review payroll data, prepare bank transfer files, and resolve payroll system issues efficiently.
• Possess hands-on experience with payroll systems and payroll processing software.
