Industry: Building Materials / Manufacturing
We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to manage product costing, cost analysis, inventory valuation, and financial reporting for a building materials company.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and analyse product, production, and material costs.
- Monitor raw materials, inventory, labour, and manufacturing overheads.
- Calculate product costs, margins, and profitability.
- Analyse cost variances and recommend cost-control measures.
- Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements, wastage, and material consumption.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, warehouse, and finance teams.
- Assist with month-end closing, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Develop cost reports and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant experience as a Cost Accountant, preferably in building materials or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of costing methods, inventory accounting, and cost control.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
