Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles Main duties include using tools to find any potential issues with someone s vehicle explains problems with the car to the driver and performing maintenance on the car to fix it or prevent it from future breakdowns or issues Ensure that the job card is issued with details of the repair work to be carried out Ensures that protective covers are used in all vehicles before carrying out any repairs Should maintain accurate time recording clocking on and off for all repairs Perform brakes suspension tire installation scheduled maintenance and all manner of automotive repairs and maintenance that you are qualified to perform Secure our guest s approval to perform the work because of the diagnosis and always maintain a clean neat work area Complete thorough automotive vehicle inspections on every vehicle you service and perform any repairs and maintenance Test drive guest vehicles and use our shop truck in a safe manner to pick up inventory as needed Repair brake and steering systems Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed Repair cooling components and the system including air conditioners and engine cooling Perform emissions inspections safety checks and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations Maintain a clean safe working environment Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes fluid level checks and tire rotation Repair and replace brake pads wheel bearings sensors and other parts Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.

Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems. Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
