Position: Category Manager (Supermarket)

Black & Grey HR is partnering with a well-established retail group in Saudi Arabia to recruit a results driven Category Manager for their supermarket division. This strategic role is your chance to shape product categories, unlock new revenue streams, and drive profitable growth in a highly competitive FMCG market. Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze market data to identify industry and consumer trends, leveraging insights to drive category growth.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with direct distributors and wholesalers to optimize product offerings.
  • Develop annual budgets and sales targets for each category, ensuring profitability and alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement business plans to achieve strategic goals, overseeing pricing strategies and margin maintenance.
  • Monitor and optimize category performance, implementing exit strategies for underperforming products.
  • Build strong vendor relationships to negotiate favorable pricing and ensure quality service delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels and product availability to meet customer demand and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Strategically position product categories to enhance visibility and market share.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to monitor pricing trends and market positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with buyers and merchandisers to expand and diversify product categories.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Buyer or Category Manager in the FMCG sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and budget management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage complexity, make data driven decisions, and drive results in a fast paced environment.
