The Destination Insights & Planning Analyst will provide analytical and decision-support capabilities across Destination Strategy, Revenue Management, Business Development and Retail/Leasing.
The role is responsible for analysing destination, visitor, commercial, revenue, retail and market data; developing business cases and forecasts; and translating complex information into clear insights and recommendations for management.
This position requires a commercially minded analyst who combines strong analytical capability with financial modelling, business intelligence and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct market, competitor and destination benchmarking to support strategic planning and commercial initiatives.
- Analyse visitor profiles, behaviour, demand patterns, preferences and market trends.
- Translate quantitative and qualitative analysis into clear business insights and management recommendations.
- Support strategic reviews, business planning and ad hoc management analysis.
- Develop and support business cases, feasibility assessments and commercial evaluations.
- Perform financial modelling, scenario, sensitivity and break-even analysis.
- Assess commercial opportunities by combining market, operational and financial information.
- Evaluate key assumptions, risks and potential commercial returns.
- Analyse revenue, pricing, transactions, demand, utilisation, conversion and other commercial KPIs.
- Identify trends, seasonality, performance drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Support demand and revenue forecasting using historical performance and market intelligence.
- Produce regular and ad hoc performance analysis with clear commercial implications.
- Analyse retail/leasing performance, tenant mix, rental benchmarks and commercial opportunities.
- Monitor leasing and business-development pipelines, including conversion, commercial value and key dependencies.
- Benchmark relevant operators, tenants, concepts and competing developments.
- Develop fact-based analysis to support commercial, tenant, partner and operator discussions.
- Consolidate, clean, validate and reconcile data from multiple business sources.
- Build structured datasets and analytical models for recurring reporting.
- Develop and maintain management dashboards using Power BI or equivalent tools.
- Use Power Query, DAX and related analytical tools to automate and improve reporting.
- Maintain clear metric definitions, assumptions and data-quality controls.
- Prepare executive-level dashboards, reports and presentations.
- Track departmental KPIs, initiatives and performance against targets.
- Convert complex analysis into concise conclusions, implications and recommended actions.
- Respond to ad hoc management requests with accurate, decision-useful analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Real Estate, Tourism/Hospitality, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years' relevant experience in destination/tourism development, real estate, hospitality, commercial strategy, consulting, revenue management, FP&A, business analytics or a similar analytical environment.
- Experience with in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is advantageous.
- Exposure to destinations, mixed-use developments, tourism, hospitality, retail or commercial real estate is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Strong Power BI
, including Power Query, data modelling and DAX. - Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation capability.
- Experience with business cases, forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Understanding of revenue drivers, pricing, NPV, IRR, payback and break-even analysis.
- Strong market research and benchmarking capability.
- Working knowledge of SQL is preferred.
- Exposure to Python, VBA, Power Automate or similar reporting automation tools is advantageous.
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded and hands-on analyst who can move comfortably between strategy, finance, commercial performance and data analytics
