FEMALE VICE PRINCIPAL PASTORAL – JEDDAH SAUDI ARABIA
Immediate start / January 2026. Visas available for UK, American, Canadian and some Arab nationalities. A long established bilingual British / American curriculum school is hiring the academic year 2026 for a multi‑year contract (minimum 2 years).

Vice Principal Pastoral - Grade Level: 1 – 12
- Sector:
Girls Campus - Gender: Must be female in accordance with Ministry regulations
- Location:
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
- At least a bachelor’s level in Education or equivalent
- Master’s degree in educational leadership or equivalent – desirable
- Psychology and/or Special Needs qualification within bachelor’s or master’s – advantageous
- Teaching qualification
- At least 3 years’ experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the Middle East
- High level of awareness of current research on child learning and development
- Capable of identifying learning deficits and strengths to provide teaching and learning guidance
- Efficient in implementing and maintaining operational systems for SEN and pastoral care
- Counselling and advisory skills to support students, parents and colleagues
- Efficient in material resource management and staff training
- Good motivational skills to foster high morale in students
- Positive profile promotion to all stakeholders
- Key point of contact for all matters relating to student well‑being
- Responsible for day‑to‑day management of students and administration of welfare, well‑being and safeguarding systems
- Oversee and monitor student behaviour, learning and progress
- Communicate highest expectations of behaviour and implement policy consistently and effectively
- Provide leadership, demonstrating high ethical standards and motivating staff and students
- Design, develop, implement and review pastoral care and access frameworks
- Lead all pastoral‑related events and activities – safeguarding, child protection and welfare
- Arrange and ensure pastoral lessons are conducted properly
- Establish culture of high performance and development in students
- Plan, organise and supervise life‑skills lessons
- Take responsibility for the personal development, behaviour and welfare of students
- Work with students at risk of exclusion or attendance difficulties
- Act fairly and firmly, maintaining politeness and respecting the School’s Vision, Islamic Ethos and policies in addressing student concerns
- Supervise counsellors and administer counselling sessions
- Participate in parent or senior leader interventions when required
- Collaborate with Administrative Principals to ensure counsellors follow MOE protocol and maintain records
- Hold weekly meetings with Counsellors and Administrative Principals of each section
- Follow up with talented students and plan for talent development
- Manage uniform and attendance policies effectively
- Notify Pastoral Vice Principal of MOE competitions for student registrations and procedural accuracy
- Promote a prime focus on student learning
- Liaise with VP Academics for targeted intervention with vulnerable students, monitoring and evaluating success
- Work closely with students on Behaviour Support Plans or Pastoral Support Plans
- Ensure learning and access opportunities for culturally diverse, mixed‑ability and various learning‑needs students
- Consult key role players on decisions affecting these students
- Maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, staff, management and other relevant stakeholders
- Celebrate positive achievements alongside Vice Principal Academics
- First point of contact for all matters relating to students, establishing positive, professional relationships with parents/carers and outside agencies to promote wellbeing
- Be aware of legislation and Ministry procedures for student behaviour
- Coordinate with VP Academics to facilitate small group sessions (e.g. anger management, esteem building, conflict resolution)
- Support behaviour and welfare, implementing equal opportunities and anti‑bullying policies
- Uphold high standards for the school dress code
