We are looking for an Academic Coordinator (
female; Lower Primary
) for a group of international schools in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Aug 2026.
They deliver the Cambridge International Curriculum to Saudi Arabian and international students, Grades KG - 9. Student attainment is assessed at the end of each level of every Grade, and the school is moving toward awarding internationally recognised certificates to the students at year 6, year 9 and in the secondary level (OL & AL) offering access to many prestigious Universities in the world.
Currently based on three campuses, the bilingual private schools, one for kindergarten students and one for primary students, are committed to deliver a progressive, innovative curriculum while emphasising mastery of Arabic and the application of Islam in daily life.
- at least Bachelors level in Education or the equivalent
- teaching qualification specialising in relevant subject area
- up to date subject knowledge with proven success in raising student attainment
- understanding and knowledge of ICT and a willingness to further develop ICT skills
- experience in a teacher position with an excellent track record
- demonstrated ability in performance appraisal and staff development
- works closely with the VP Academics
- high level of awareness of current research as to how children learn and develop
- be aware of relevant international curricula, programmes of study and assessment methods
- capable to ensure highly effective teaching and learning and improved school standards
- skilled to identify learning deficits and strengths to provide teaching and learning guidance
- efficient in implementing and maintaining operational systems
- counselling and advisory skills in order to support and guide students, parents and colleagues
- effective in material resource management and staff training
- able to articulate educational issues and perspectives in communication with the school and broader community
- have a desire to be part of a student centred school structure which seeks to engage all learners in their own learning
- implement the School performance management processes so as to provide a positive framework for staff development and achievement
- ensure that all staff receive departmental and whole school induction and training and fully understand all relevant policies and their implementation
- create an environment where there is visible acknowledgement that everyone's contribution is valued in the Department
- be proactive in pursuing regular professional growth in leadership and management competencies and practices, which will form part of the key performance indicators
