Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and engaging Faculty Member in English to join the Preparatory Year Program
. The role focuses on developing students' academic English proficiency, communication skills, and readiness for healthcare and medical education through high-quality teaching and student-centered learning approaches.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Delivery

• Deliver English language lectures, tutorials, and interactive learning sessions for preparatory year students
• Teach academic reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and communication skills
• Support students in developing academic and medical terminology proficiency
• Apply student-centered and outcome-based teaching strategies
• Utilize LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools effectively
• Prepare and administer assessments, assignments, and examinations
• Maintain accurate academic records including attendance, grades, and reports

Student Support & Development

• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
• Support students with varying English proficiency levels
• Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback to improve learning outcomes

Academic Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives
• Prepare course files, reports, and required academic documentation on time

Research & Professional Development

• Participate in academic activities, workshops, conferences, and professional development programs
• Contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives where applicable
• Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees
• Collaborate with faculty members to support student success and program objectives

• Master's or PhD in English, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or related field
• Experience teaching English in preparatory year, foundation, or higher education programs preferred
• Strong command of academic English and communication skills
• Familiarity with LMS (Blackboard) and educational technologies
