Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and experienced Faculty Member in Critical Care Nursing to join the Nursing Program
. The role focuses on delivering high-quality academic and clinical education, mentoring nursing students, and supporting excellence in critical care nursing practice in alignment with accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Clinical Education
- Deliver Critical Care Nursing lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and clinical training
- Supervise students during clinical rotations in intensive care and acute care settings
- Facilitate simulation activities, emergency response scenarios, and clinical skills training
- Teach evidence-based nursing care for critically ill patients and emergency situations
- Utilize LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools effectively
- Prepare and administer assessments, assignments, and clinical evaluations
- Maintain accurate academic and clinical records
Student Support & Development
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to nursing students
- Support development of critical thinking, clinical judgment, and patient safety practices
- Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback
Research & Scholarly Activities
- Participate in research, academic conferences, and scholarly activities
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement
Academic Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA)
- Participate in quality assurance activities, committees, and program reporting
- Submit course files and required academic documentation on time
Community Engagement
- Participate in healthcare awareness campaigns and community initiatives aligned with the college mission
- PhD in Nursing with specialization in Critical Care Nursing
- Clinical experience in ICU, emergency, or critical care settings required
- Teaching experience in nursing education preferred
- Familiarity with simulation-based teaching and modern educational technologies
- Experience with LMS (Blackboard) and digital learning platforms
- Strong clinical and academic expertise in critical care nursing
- Excellent teaching, mentoring, and communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure clinical environments
- Student-centered and patient-focused approach
- Commitment to academic quality and continuous improvement
