College and Career Counselor i i School Counseling Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one college counseling to students and develop a comprehensive portfolio for each student including a CV
- Support students with college applications essays recommendation letters and interview preparation
- Guide students in selecting appropriate courses and alternative academic pathways
- Organize college fairs workshops and information sessions
- Advise students and parents on university selection and admissions requirements
- Administer and interpret student assessments e g career interest aptitude personality values and motivation tests
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of college admissions trends and requirements
- Support students in selecting and planning AP Advanced Placement coursework
- Review and develop students academic and educational plans
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed reports on performance and readiness
- Bachelor s degree in Education Counseling or a related field
- Master s degree preferred
- Previous experience in college counseling or student advising
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with international and local university systems
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Experience with College Board programs including AP courses
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
