Senior Driller and driver

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site senior Driller and Driver role based in Jiddah for AL-MUHANDIS NIZAR AL-KURDI CONSULTING ENGINEERS UK LTD. The role involves operating and driving heavy drilling equipment to project sites, ensuring safe transport, setup, and shutdown of machinery. The senior Driller and Driver will perform drilling operations according to project specifications, monitor drilling parameters, and adjust techniques to meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Daily responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-operation inspections, maintaining equipment, coordinating with engineering and site teams, and completing required operational and safety documentation. The role also requires adherence to company and regulatory safety procedures and mentoring less experienced operators on best practices.

• Strong proficiency in operating and driving heavy equipment, including drilling rigs and support vehicles.
• Demonstrated experience in drilling operations, with the ability to execute and supervise complex drilling tasks.
• Knowledge of directional drilling principles and methods, with experience applying them in field conditions.
• Experience performing detailed equipment and site inspections to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
• Background in oil & gas or related industrial sectors, with familiarity with relevant industry standards.
• Valid commercial or appropriate driving license, with a strong safety record and clean driving history.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, drilling plans, and safety guidelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to make sound decisions in the field.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary site teams.
• Relevant vocational training or certification in drilling operations, heavy equipment operation, or a related field is preferred.
