Director of MRO Operations

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Operations Director to lead the launch and operational ramp up of a new Aerospace MRO facility in Saudi Arabia. This role is critical to establishing world class maintenance capabilities, building high performing teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance from day one. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in MRO operations and greenfield site development, with a strong understanding of regional aviation dynamics.

• Lead the planning, setup, and commissioning of the new MRO facility, including infrastructure, tooling, systems, and staffing.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure timely and compliant site delivery.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and workflows from scratch.
• Recruit, train, and onboard key operational staff and technicians.
• Establish relationships with regulatory bodies (GACA, EASA, FAA) to secure necessary certifications and approvals.
• Oversee procurement and installation of MRO systems.
• Manage day to day operations across maintenance, logistics, quality, and safety.
• Drive operational excellence through lean practices, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all aviation safety and maintenance regulations.
• Build strong client relationships and support business development efforts.
• Monitor financial performance and optimize resource utilization.

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in aerospace MRO operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in greenfield or brownfield site start up projects.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and certification processes (GACA, EASA, FAA).
• Experience with ERP/MRO systems and digital transformation initiatives.
• Fluency in English;
  Arabic is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
