The Job Summary
The Design & Site Coordination Engineer – Network Development is responsible for delivering basic in-house design works and ensuring effective coordination between design intent and on-site execution across Petromin’s corporate network projects.
The role includes preparation of initial layouts, space planning, minor architectural modifications, and standard design adaptations for repeat network formats, while coordinating consultant designs and supporting site teams to ensure accurate implementation of approved drawings.
This position strengthens Petromin’s internal design capability
, reduces dependency on external consultants for minor works, and supports senior Project Managers by owning day-to-day design development, clarifications, and site coordination under structured technical supervision.
- 1. Prepare basic architectural designs, layouts, blocking plans, and space planning for network facilities under senior guidance.
- 2. Develop preliminary drawings and minor design modifications for showrooms, workshops, offices, yards, and support facilities.
- 3. Adapt and maintain standard network layouts for repeat use across regions.
- 4. Coordinate architectural, civil, and basic MEP designs with site execution requirements.
- 5. Review consultant drawings for constructability, sequencing, and site compatibility.
- 6. Act as the focal point for design clarifications and site technical queries
, coordinating with consultants under senior guidance. - 7. Ensure correct issuance, version control, and site usage of approved drawings and revisions.
- 8. Conduct site visits to verify execution aligns with approved designs and specifications.
- 9. Perform design-based and site-based quantity measurements for progress validation and minor variations.
- 10. Support snagging, close-out activities and preparation of coordinated as-built drawings.
- 11. Maintain structured trackers covering design status, revisions, site progress, and technical risks.
1. Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or Civil Engineering (Architecture preferred)
- Registration with Saudi Council of Engineers (Preferred)
2 to 6 years of experience in
- Architectural or engineering design roles
- Design coordination with consultants
- Construction site exposure
- Experience in retail, commercial, or industrial facilities is an advantage.
- English – Professional working proficiency
- Arabic – Preferred
