We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative CAD Technician with specialized expertise in Civil 3D to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in transforming design concepts into precise technical drawings that drive our projects forward. With a minimum of 5 years of professional CAD design experience and a Bachelor's degree in a design or engineering discipline, you'll work closely with engineers, planners, and inspectors to ensure every drawing meets our high standards of accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Civil 3D, including plans, profiles, sections, and detailed specifications according to project requirements
• Develop comprehensive construction drawings using Civil 3D based on IFC standards, tender documents, and authority-approved specifications
• Leverage Civil 3D's advanced modeling capabilities to create corridor models, surface analysis, and grading designs for infrastructure projects
• Update and revise drawings promptly in response to site conditions, RFIs, and feedback from engineers and clients using Civil 3D workflows
• Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, MEP, and utilities) to incorporate design changes and ensure seamless integration across Civil 3D models
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, authority standards, and established CAD standards and best practices
• Maintain organized drawing registers, implement version control protocols, and follow proper file naming conventions for easy retrieval and tracking
• Prepare as-built drawings based on approved redlines and comprehensive site records using Civil 3D documentation
• Assist in the preparation of shop drawings, utility layouts, and coordination drawings as needed
• Perform quantity take-offs and measurements from Civil 3D drawings to support project planning and resource allocation
• Meet project schedule deadlines by ensuring timely submission of all required drawings
• Archive and manage both electronic and hardcopy drawings to facilitate efficient document retrieval and project continuity
• Adhere to company QA/QC procedures and maintain the highest standards of drafting excellence
• Support the team by identifying potential design conflicts and proposing innovative solutions to optimize project outcomes

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related design/engineering discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in CAD design and technical drafting
• Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D with demonstrated expertise in preparing construction drawings and technical documentation
• Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software and modeling tools
• Strong knowledge of IFC standards, building codes, and authority compliance requirements
• Experience with version control systems and file management best practices
• Solid understanding of as-built drawing preparation and shop drawing development
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination across civil, structural, MEP, and utility systems
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and drafting standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Proven time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in organizing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
• Ability to work independently while remaining a supportive and collaborative team member
• Preferred:
  Experience with project management software and familiarity with construction industry workflows
