Job Purpose
To ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant electrical, control, and instrumentation systems by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair activities. The role supports equipment reliability, process stability, and production continuity while maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment, field instruments, sensors, transmitters, and control circuits.
- Calibrate and maintain process instruments, including pressure, temperature, level, flow, and analytical devices.
- Maintain electrical components such as motors, VFDs, MCC panels, starters, and safety circuits.
- Diagnose faults in control systems, I/O modules, communication networks, and automation equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and control schematics.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns and support production teams in restoring equipment operation.
- Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and technical documentation.
- Participate in shutdown, upgrade, and continuous improvement activities.
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical
, Instrumentation
, Electronics
, Automation
, or related discipline. - 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within manufacturing, FMCG, utilities, or process plants
. - Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, drives, and control panels.
- Familiarity with PLC systems (e.g.,
Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) - Understanding of transmitters, sensors, valves, analyzers, and field instrumentation.
- Ability to perform instrument calibration and loop checking.
- Ability to troubleshoot automation and control-related faults.
- Ability to use testing & diagnostic tools (multimeter, calibrator, etc.).
- Ability to read technical drawings and diagrams.
