JOB SUMMARY
The B2 Avionics Technician will be responsible to ensure optimal service support for maintenance and flight line activities to achieve the excellent fleet availability with highest quality and safety standards. The technician will perform detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft components and systems, maintenance (both scheduled and unscheduled) or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components. The B2 Avionics Technician will perform on-the-job training on location as required.
Job DescriptionThe B2 Avionics Technician will be responsible to ensure optimal service support for maintenance and flight line activities to achieve the excellent fleet availability with highest quality and safety standards. The technician will also perform detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft components and systems, maintenance (both scheduled and unscheduled) or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components.
The B2 Avionics Technician will perform on-the-job training on location as required.
- Comply with all Aviation, Safety, Quality and Export Control Regulations and Procedures
- Comply with all Airbus Helicopters Management Systems, Policies and Regulations
- Work as part of a team, performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the helicopter fleet within a customer environment
- Undertake individually or as part of a team, aircraft maintenance, repair and inspection tasks, quality checks and documentation in accordance with Company and Customer procedures
- Check tools/GSE for condition and expiration before starting maintenance activities and ensure their correct use
- Inspect components and parts for conditions (damages, leaks, etc.) and verify applicability of documentation
- Perform electrical assembly, integration and modification, system repairs, first level quality inspection and functional tests of aircraft and components
- Analyze performance and isolate malfunctions of integrated avionic instrument and flight control systems
- Conduct checkouts of avionic instrument and flight control systems and components (including repairs, overhauls, modifications, alignments, installation)
- Inspect avionic instrument and flight control systems
- Ensure all work is recorded on appropriate paperwork and signed for on a progressive basis
- Ensure correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials
- Verify aircraft status regarding scheduled tasks and deferred items; ensure the aircraft is serviceable and sign the Release to Service
- Perform duties as assigned by the Site Manager, ensuring timely work and delivery quality
- Conduct on-the-job training and train personnel on the use of maintenance manuals and safety directives/FOD procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Practical working experience in Dauphins/Panther (AS365)
- Professional experience in avionics maintenance and installation
- On-the-job training capability and ability to train others
- Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to integrity
