Bridge Engineer

WSP is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Bridge Engineer – Design to join its growing infrastructure team in Jeddah. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex bridge and structural design projects, ensuring technical excellence, innovation, and adherence to international and local standards.

• Lead the design and analysis of bridge and related structural elements (steel, concrete, composite structures).
• Prepare and review detailed design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Undertake concept, preliminary, and detailed design of bridges, flyovers, interchanges, and infrastructure structures.
• Ensure designs comply with AASHTO, Eurocodes, Saudi standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including highways, geotechnical, drainage, and utilities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and cost control activities.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and technical presentations.
• Contribute to value engineering and innovative design solutions.
• Ensure adherence to quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in bridge design and structural engineering.
• Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the Middle East or similar environments.
• Strong expertise in bridge design software such as MIDAS, SAP
  2000, CSI Bridge, RM Bridge, or similar tools.
• Hands‑on experience with design codes and standards (AASHTO LRFD, Eurocodes, BS).
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification is highly desirable.
