Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the supervision consultancy team for a large-scale infrastructure development project located approximately 100 km north of Jeddah
. The selected candidate will assist the Resident Engineer in supervising mechanical and utility works on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.
- Supervise and monitor mechanical and utility construction works on site in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications.
- Assist the Resident Engineer (Mechanical) in overseeing mechanical infrastructure works.
- Inspect and supervise installation of potable water supply networks.
- Monitor works related to firefighting systems and associated infrastructure.
- Supervise installation of gas distribution networks.
- Monitor construction of stormwater drainage and sanitary sewage systems.
- Supervise installation of irrigation systems and landscape-related mechanical works.
- Ensure contractor compliance with approved method statements, drawings, and quality standards.
- Review contractor submissions including shop drawings and material submittals.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure proper construction practices.
- Assist in preparing inspection reports, site reports, and progress updates.
- Identify and report technical issues, non-conformances, and delays to the Resident Engineer.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure construction or supervision projects.
- Experience in utility infrastructure projects including potable water, firefighting, gas distribution, stormwater drainage, sanitary sewage, and irrigation systems.
- Previous experience working with engineering consultancy firms in a supervision capacity is preferred.
- Good knowledge of construction supervision, inspection procedures, and quality control standards.
- Strong coordination, inspection, and reporting skills.
