Field Service Technician

Istify is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of integrated energy and building systems across client sites in Saudi Arabia. This is a hands‑on field role suited to a technically capable professional with strong problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused mindset. The successful candidate will work across electrical and control systems, building management systems (BMS), and solar PV systems, supporting project execution, system reliability, and ongoing service operations.

• Install, commission, service, and maintain integrated energy and building systems across commercial and industrial sites.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective maintenance for electrical, control, and automation systems.
• Support the installation and servicing of renewable energy systems, including solar PV equipment, inverters, protection devices, and associated components.
• Carry out electrical works including wiring, terminations, inspections, testing, and fault identification in accordance with applicable standards and safety procedures.
• Install, configure, and maintain building automation systems (BMS), including HVAC controls, lighting controls, and monitoring systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and system performance checks to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and control diagrams.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and commissioning documentation accurately and on time.
• Coordinate effectively with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives during project execution and service visits.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, quality, and site regulations.

• Transferrable Iqama (where applicable)
• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on field experience in electrical systems, Solar PV systems, building automation systems, or related technical services.
• Strong knowledge of electrical testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with BMS platforms
• Experience with solar PV systems and commissioning activities is an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and control schematics.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and documentation.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Good communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Willingness to travel to project and client sites as required.
