As part of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a major aviation project in Jeddah, the Senior Terminal Planner will play a critical role in overseeing the planning, analysis, and design coordination of terminal facilities. This position will focus on ensuring seamless passenger experience, operational efficiency, and compliance with international aviation standards. The Senior Terminal Planner will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, innovative, and future ready terminal concepts.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee terminal planning activities, including spatial layout design, functional area development, and passenger flow optimization.
- Conduct capacity assessments, demand forecasting, and terminal operational analyses to inform design and planning decisions.
- Develop terminal concepts and planning reports that align with client objectives and international best practices.
- Coordinate with architecture, engineering, MEP, ICT, and baggage handling system teams to ensure cohesive terminal design solutions.
- Review and validate design deliverables, ensuring alignment with project requirements and operational needs.
- Support stakeholder engagement and present terminal planning findings and recommendations to project teams and clients.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Aviation Planning, Transportation Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in airport terminal planning, with proven involvement in large scale aviation or infrastructure projects.
- In depth understanding of airport terminal operations, IATA Level of Service (LoS), and terminal capacity planning methodologies.
- Experience with terminal simulation tools (e.g., CAST, Any Logic, Simio) is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working within a PMC or consultancy environment is an advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ICAO, IATA, and GACA standards and guidelines.
Strong analytical, spatial planning, and problem solving skills. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in planning and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
