Technical Office Manager; MEP

We are looking for an experienced Technical Office Manager – MEP to join our growing team and lead the technical function across our projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery from design through to handover.

You will manage and oversee the MEP technical office, leading a team of engineers and draftsmen, coordinating shop drawings and material submittals, and ensuring all technical deliverables meet project specifications, standards, and client requirements.

• Lead and manage the MEP technical office team, including engineers, coordinators, and draftsmen
• Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of MEP shop drawings, as-built drawings, and combined services drawings
• Manage material submittals, technical submittals, and compliance statements
• Review project specifications, BOQs, and contract documents to ensure technical compliance
• Coordinate MEP services with civil, structural, and architectural disciplines to resolve clashes and interfaces
• Prepare and manage RFIs, NCRs, and technical correspondence with consultants and clients
• Ensure alignment of design with site execution and value engineering opportunities
• Support the planning, procurement, and QS teams with technical input and quantity verification
• Ensure adherence to ITPs, project quality standards, and applicable codes and regulations
• Report progress and technical issues to senior management and client representatives

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a relevant Engineering discipline
• 10+ years of MEP experience in contracting, with at least 3 in a technical office management role
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and Navisworks
• Solid knowledge of MEP systems, design coordination, and construction sequencing
• Strong command of project specifications, codes, and standards
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder communication skills
• PMP or a recognized technical/management certification is an advantage
