Laboratory Chemist

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Perform lab activities, including water analysis, lab & engineering instrument calibration, and maintain calibration records.
• Generate accurate, professional, and reliable lab reports meeting the demands of the Service and Sales business.
• Fulfill the requirements of the business demand.
• Prepare chemical solutions (calibration and standardization solutions) for use in the laboratory and outside the laboratory, including lab & engineering instrument calibration, and maintain calibration records.
• Supervise the process of disposing of laboratory waste.
• Conduct water analysis (chemical & biological) as per standard procedures and report them on E‑lab, considering the highest possible accuracy within the required timeline.
• Manage laboratory inventory (chemicals, reagents, and equipment), continuously monitoring expiry validity.
• Keep and follow QHSE requirements. Maintain and handle all audit requirements.
• Conduct the required qualitative and quantitative experiments on chemical and biological parameters to qualify and ensure the performance of the product selection.

• Diploma in Chemistry.
• 0–2 years experience.

• Implement QHSE policies and ISO procedures.
• Follow safety rules and coach colleagues.
• Follow road traffic rules while commuting.
• Be responsible towards Veolia’s sustainable development commitments.
• Read safety moments, alerts, and other information shared by the HSE Team.
• Inform the safety team before visiting any site, factory, and/or warehouse; obtain proper induction and prepare LMRA and required PPE.
• Maintain office safety: keep files in correct place, close drawers after use, secure electrical cables, report lost or damaged electrical components, keep office clean and tidy.
• Report stress, fatigue, harassment, or bullying to HR/HSE.

• Comply with applicable ethics and legislation referred to in Veolia Code of Conduct policy, particularly in the fight against corruption and influence peddling.
