Instrumentation Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation equipment, including sensors, flow meters, pressure gauges, and level transmitters.
• Support the operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems to ensure seamless communication and control of lift station processes.
• Perform regular inspections and basic troubleshooting of control panels and PLCs under the supervision of senior technicians.
• Monitor data from SCADA systems to identify anomalies and report issues to the operations team.
• Assist in configuring and maintaining communication networks for SCADA systems, including wired and wireless components.
• Support senior technicians in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and SCADA hardware and software.
• Maintain accurate records of calibration, repair activities, and system performance.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards for instrumentation and SCADA operations.
• Participate in training programs to develop technical skills in instrumentation and SCADA systems.

• Diploma or certification in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (BSc is a plus).
• Basic understanding of instrumentation systems, including sensors, transmitters, and actuators.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLCs, and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) software.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, or Ethernet is an advantage.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of instrumentation and SCADA technology.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements for instrumentation and SCADA systems.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving system issues.
• Experience with technical documentation and report preparation is a plus.
