Senior Project Engineer – Energy Efficiency Retrofit ProjectsThe Senior Project Engineer – Energy Efficiency Retrofit Projects is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end development and execution of complex building and industrial energy efficiency retrofit projects. The role requires a holistic understanding of energy systems, including HVAC, lighting, controls, building automation systems, and digital energy management solutions. The incumbent manages project delivery from opportunity assessment and energy audits through engineering design, procurement, implementation, commissioning, measurement & verification (M&V), and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead comprehensive energy efficiency retrofit projects across offices, industrial, healthcare, universities, hospitality, and private‑sector facilities.
- Implement technical solutions covering HVAC optimization, chiller plant upgrades, BMS enhancements, lighting retrofits, renewable energy integration, water conservation, and smart building technologies.
- Adhere to contracted technical and financial studies, energy models, savings calculations, and investment‑grade proposals.
- Manage project planning, engineering design reviews, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and commissioning specialists.
- Ensure company’s compliance with regulations, standards, sustainability frameworks, and energy performance requirements.
- Establish project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and quality assurance processes.
- Support Measurement & Verification (M&V) activities.
- Support project performance, energy savings, carbon reduction outcomes, and client satisfaction.
- Support business development teams through technical expertise and client presentations.
- Drive innovation, digitalisation, and decarbonisation opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, energy engineering, or related discipline.
- 8–12+ years of experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, building services, facilities engineering, or ESCO projects.
- Proven track record delivering large‑scale retrofit and energy performance contracting projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, controls, building automation, renewable energy, and energy management.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CEM, CMVP, LEED, or equivalent are highly desirable.
