Job Summary
Raytheon Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Prime Power Unit (PPU) Electrical Lead to provide technical leadership and in‑country support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia AN/TPY-2 Program. Based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this role serves as the primary electrical engineering focal point for the production, testing, integration, and delivery of the Prime Power Unit (PPU), working closely with local suppliers, cross‑functional teams, and U.S.
-based engineering subject‑matter experts. The successful candidate will support supplier development, ensure manufacturing and testing compliance, resolve technical issues, and help drive successful execution of production activities while ensuring alignment with Raytheon quality, technical, and customer requirements.
- Provide technical leadership for the production, testing, integration, and delivery of the AN/TPY-2 Prime Power Unit.
- Support and oversee in‑country suppliers throughout manufacturing, assembly, testing, and system integration activities.
- Partner with U.S.
-based engineering teams to resolve technical issues and implement engineering solutions. - Review supplier deliverables, quality documentation, and test results to ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
- Support supplier assessments, process improvements, and production readiness activities.
- Present technical updates, risks, and recommendations to program leadership and customer stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate reporting of production status and technical issues to program leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or another STEM discipline.
- Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7 years of related experience.
- Must be a Saudi national.
- Experience with the design, manufacturing, testing, or integration of medium- or high-voltage power generation systems.
- Experience supporting production, fabrication, assembly, and testing of complex electromechanical systems.
- Ability to analyze technical issues, communicate effectively, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier organizations.
- Experience working with suppliers, manufacturing, and procurement organizations.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with high-voltage power generation systems, engines, alternators, voltage regulation, and motor control systems.
- Experience with generator synchronization, paralleling, and load-sharing systems.
- Knowledge of production and acceptance testing for power generation equipment.
- Experience leading technical teams or supplier activities.
- Experience preparing technical documentation and engineering reports.
- Experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), or Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) programs.
