- Provide mechanical engineering support and technical oversight for PMC projects.
- Review mechanical design drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical submittals.
- Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor mechanical works and ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, codes, and project standards.
- Review and comment on HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems as applicable to the project.
- Monitor project progress and support the PMT/PMC team in resolving technical issues and design coordination matters.
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, workshops, and site inspections.
- Review RFIs, material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
- Identify technical risks, design issues, and potential deviations and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate mechanical interfaces with architectural, structural, electrical, and other disciplines.
- Support testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover activities.
- Ensure mechanical works comply with applicable local and international standards and HSE requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations for the PMC management team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within PMC, EPC, engineering consultancy, or major construction projects.
- Proven experience in large-scale building, infrastructure, industrial, or capital projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical building services.
- Experience reviewing engineering designs, calculations, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
- Good knowledge of applicable international standards, local codes, and authority requirements.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP is preferred.
- Familiarity with project management and document management systems.
- Strong understanding of design coordination, construction supervision, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
- Excellent communication, coordination, technical review, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
