An immediate recruitment opportunity is available for a Mechanical Engineer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The position is suited to an experienced engineering professional with 5 to 8 years of practical experience in contracting companies and project implementation, particularly in building and industrial mechanical systems.

The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate mechanical works on project sites, including HVAC, ventilation and cooling, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and water network systems. The role involves technical coordination with civil, electrical, and architectural teams, suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors, offering opportunities for professional development and career growth in mechanical construction and project execution.

• Supervise and follow up on mechanical works at project sites.
• Ensure mechanical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and technical approvals.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, bills of quantities, scopes of work, and equipment data.
• Monitor implementation of HVAC, ventilation, cooling, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and water network systems.
• Coordinate mechanical activities with civil, electrical, and architectural works.
• Identify and resolve technical conflicts and site-related mechanical issues.
• Prepare and follow up on technical inquiries, inspection requests, and required approvals.
• Coordinate with suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor the quality and progress of mechanical installations.
• Prepare and review execution plans, technical submittals, and method statements.
• Follow up on testing, inspection, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
• Monitor project observations and snag lists and coordinate their closure through final handover.
• Support effective project execution through technical coordination, field follow-up, and problem-solving.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5 to 8 years of practical experience in contracting companies and project implementation.
• Strong experience in mechanical systems for building and industrial projects.
• Practical experience with HVAC, ventilation, and cooling systems.
• Experience with plumbing, drainage, and water network systems.
• Experience with firefighting systems.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and review engineering drawings, technical specifications, bills of quantities, and equipment technical data.
• Experience preparing and reviewing execution plans, technical approvals, and method statements.
• Knowledge of mechanical system testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
• Good understanding of relevant engineering codes, standards, and project implementation requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Proficiency in technical English.
• Strong technical coordination and field supervision skills.
• Strong problem-solving, priority management, and project follow-up abilities.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Revit for electromechanical works and Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of planning and project management or follow-up software is an advantage.
