Job title:
Telecommunications Engineer

The job aims to prepare and develop plans for the installation of central and branch communication exchanges, follow up on the implementation of initial operation and wired and wireless networks, in addition to preparing preventive maintenance programs, diagnosing faults, and preparing technical reports for projects.

Tasks and duties

The main tasks include:

• Preparing plans for the installation and operation of central and branch exchanges and following up on the installation and initial setup procedures.

• Planning wired and wireless communication networks and monitoring the implementation of operation and maintenance work.

• Developing preventive maintenance programs for communication equipment and networks according to manufacturers' recommendations.

• Diagnosing and addressing faults in exchanges and networks, and effectively following up on repairs.

• Developing work procedures and methods to keep pace with the latest technologies in the field of communications.

• Preparing specialized documents and reports related to engineering work and project progress rates.

• Reports and data are stored within approved systems and in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

Job requirements

Academic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:

  • Electronics
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Telecommunications engineering
  • Electronics and Communications Engineering

Experience

• At least 5 years of practical experience in the field of communications or network operation and maintenance.

Preferred Certificates

• Cisco CCNA Certification
• CompTIA Data
• CCTV experience
