Sr. Electrical Engineer, Inverter is responsible for design intent assembly requirements of Inverter Power Electronics & associated EOL test specifications. Responsible for root cause analysis of product issues, interim containment action development/verification/implementation, & permanent corrective action development/verification/implementation where applicable with close collaboration with core engineering to ensure design intent & validation requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities- Solve complex component/system level problems using standard problem-solving techniques for inverter power electronics & associated software interface
- Data driven proactive problem solving, root cause analysis & issue avoidance due to process deviations or critical part quality issues
- Establish technical depth to troubleshoot all Inverter Power Electronics components and associated interface EOL test equipment/test specifications
- Responsible for design intent assembly requirements for Inverter Power Electronics assembly & associated enforcement on the line in close collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Support new product launches, execute part concession deviations for Inverter Power Electronics & associated test specification in the manufacturing plant
- Support high volume production ramp activities pertaining to product engineering activities
- Advice on build process development and possible improvements for high volume production lines
- Lead product change management to address known product compatibility issues for high volume production or known product design issues in production in close collaboration with cross-functional teams where appropriate
- Structured product problem-solving and root cause analysis using industry-standard techniques
- Advanced data analysis using statistical methods and tools such as Minitab, JMP, Python, and MATLAB
- Technical expertise in Inverter Power Electronics, including associated interfaces and troubleshooting
- Expertise in analog and digital electronic circuits
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, probes, power analyzers, and DC/AC power supplies
- Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility and Power Electronics functional testing
- Knowledge of communication protocols and associated troubleshooting
- Proficiency in DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, DVP&R, DFM/DFA, and RCA
- Proficiency with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and technical documentation skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with 5+ years of automotive experience in vehicle attribute design and release, or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with 6+…
