- Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across facilities and operations.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international occupational health and safety regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and HR teams to integrate safety into daily activities and project planning.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure adequacy of safety resources.
- Identify potential hazards and design solutions to prevent workplace injuries or environmental damage.
- Support emergency response planning and conduct safety drills.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, CSP, Kawader) preferred.
- Proven experience in safety engineering or a similar role within industrial, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to promote a safety culture.
- Ability to prepare and deliver safety training programs.
