Handle guest calls, requests, and problems by contacting the appropriate department, while maximizing revenue through up-selling and providing complimentary rewards. Process reservation changes, cancellations, and rewards redemptions via phone, fax, or mail, and enter information into the software system. Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing and assist management with training, motivation, and performance monitoring.
Key Duties- Contact appropriate individual or department to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
- Use sales techniques to maximize revenue and maintain guest loyalty, including up-selling.
- Determine and give complementary rewards to guests.
- Promote brand image internally and externally.
- Process requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points.
- Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
- Enter Marriott Rewards information into the appropriate software when taking guest reservations.
- Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns.
- Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (filing, sending emails, typing, faxing).
- Assist management in training and motivating employees; serve as a role model.
- Follow company policies and procedures, ensure appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
- Communicate with others using clear, professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
- Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support the team to reach common goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees.
- Monitor the performance of others to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Read and visually verify information in various formats.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
- Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. - Related
Work Experience:
At least 2 years of related work experience. - Supervisory
