Overview
Our client is a leading large-scale company in the Retail industry, known for its strong market presence. The Chief Accountant plays a critical hands‑on leadership role in safeguarding financial integrity, streamlining digital accounting processes, and ensuring real‑time financial visibility. The role requires advanced proficiency in SAP S/4
HANA
, SAP VIM
, and Power BI
, alongside strong technical accounting capability.
Main Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the full month‑end and year‑end closing cycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.Maintain integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed‑assets registers.Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses in line with IFRS standards.Enhance and automate accounting workflows using SAP S/4
HANA and SAP VIM
, ensuring system accuracy and digital efficiency.Develop and maintain financial dashboards and analytical models using Power BI for real‑time visibility and decision support.Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounting team to ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and high output quality.Support the Finance Director in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and strategic financial planning for the retail operations.Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years of progressive corporate accounting experience, ideally with previous supervisory or Chief Accountant responsibilities.
