We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Lead to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Cost Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis for our projects. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure project financial success
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for complex projects
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Create and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to optimize project costs
- Conduct variance analyses and provide recommendations for cost control measures
- Oversee the development and maintenance of cost databases and historical cost information
- Prepare and present comprehensive cost reports to senior management
- Mentor and guide junior team members in cost management practices
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cost management
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in cost management or related field
- Professional certifications such as CCP (Certified Cost Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
- Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Strong proficiency in cost management software (e.g., "Oracle Primavera, MS Project") and advanced Excel skills
- Experience in large-scale projects, preferably in construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong leadership and communication abilities to effectively manage teams and interact with stakeholders
- Knowledge of industry-specific cost drivers and trends
- Familiarity with local and international cost standards and regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
