- Develop and maintain detailed departmental budgets ensuring alignment with strategic organizational goals and operational needs
- Monitor actual expenditures against budgeted amounts identifying significant variances and investigating their root causes promptly
- Implement and manage cost control measures and strategies to optimize resource allocation and minimize unnecessary spending
- Prepare regular financial reports including variance analysis and forecasts to inform management decision-making
- Collaborate with department heads to gather financial data forecast future expenses and ensure budget accuracy
- Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the organization
- Assist in the development of financial models and scenario planning to assess the impact of different business decisions on costs
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
Master's degree is a plus. - Professional certification such as CMA, CPA, or FP&A is highly regarded.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in budgeting, financial planning, and cost control.
- Proven experience in a specific industry (e.g., manufacturing, technology, healthcare) relevant to the company's operations.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan) and advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
