This position is responsible for managing and supervising visa applications, cancellations, trade license renewals and all related government, labor and immigration activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and timely execution of administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop relationships with different Government authorities:
Immigration, Ministry of Labor, Municipality, Traffic Department, Department of Economy, Security, Airport. - Meet, Assist NTA and others.
- Responsible for manpower planning for the department; supervise, motivate and lead the team.
- Ensure licenses are issued on time for new store openings.
- Ensure a proper mix of nationalities is maintained in the company by keeping the quota in control.
- Handle government related issues, renewals and non-renewals for the 7 companies:
Apparel LLC, Shoe Plaza, Dynamix, Shop fit, Indus, Apparel FZCO and European Apparel. - Review balance file of submitted documents; ensure files are properly arranged for future records.
- Review records of any payments made for proper invoicing and fines.
- Support employees and visitors in dealing with all governmental departments by providing relevant contacts, addresses and forms.
- Develop new contacts at departments as and when required.
- Resolve issues related to government departments (Ministries, Police, Customs etc.).
- Handle all relevant correspondence.
- Supervise and monitor changes and communicate them to cooperating departments or individuals to be aware of standard procedures, legal requirements etc.
- Handle all documents appropriately reflecting urgency and confidentiality status.
- Assist any requirements for the company accommodation.
- Supervise and track residence permit and visa process.
- 5 7 years of experience in government relations, public affairs or a related field.
- Proficiency in policy analysis, strategic communication and stakeholder management.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law or a related field.
- Strong negotiation, advocacy and relationship building skills.
- In depth understanding of governmental processes, regulatory environments and compliance standards.
